About

I’m Jim Little, a government and political reporter at the Pensacola News Journal. For nearly a decade, I’ve focused on covering local government, politics, and community issues, with the goal of providing reporting that explains the forces shaping people’s lives and brings important stories to light.

My work aims to be accurate, clear, and fair, whether I’m investigating how public decisions affect everyday citizens or highlighting perspectives that often go overlooked. I believe journalism should shine a light on power, reveal the truth behind complex issues, and ensure a broad range of voices are heard.

My reporting has appeared in newspapers across Florida, as well as USA TODAY and the Associated Press. I’ve earned several first-place awards from the Florida Society of News Editors for breaking news, investigative reporting, enterprise stories, beat reporting, and news interactives.

I’m a graduate of Auburn University with a degree in journalism, where I served as Editor-in-Chief of The Auburn Plainsman.
